How to configure ubuntu with gnome.

XDMCP

Edit /etc/gdm/gdm.conf and enable xdmcp:

change this: 

...
[xdmcp]
Enable=false
...

to this: 

...
[xdmcp]
Enable=true
...

You can restart GDM with sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart
